    Hitting Etiquette Empty Hitting Etiquette

Post by sbmnky Wed May 08, 2013 3:04 am

When getting through cut scenes and downtime between pitches, which player does the onus fall on? Who gets to choose how fast to play - batter or pitcher? I like to play fast, but don't want to rush the other guy. What's the etiquette? If there is none, I suggest the batter should have the responsibility to speed through cut scenes so.

if someone likes to play slow then don't skip cutscenes. if both players agree to play fast then by all means.

I usually let the hitter dictate speed of the game, takes more focus in my opinion

I know I personally like to view my player stats at least and little touches to the game considering online is only mode I play so stat overlays are nice.

Yea I do like to see the pregame. And the stats as the player approaches the plate. After the game moves on its not as big but the first time through I do like to let the game playthrough. From time to time I get frustrated because I swung at a bad pitch to end the inning and I will tap the button an extra time. Which causes the game to skip a scene. Ive been trying to do better with that.

Look at it this way,the oitcher cant throw until batter is in the box, the batter dictates when he steps in, once in the pitcher decides when to throw, id say its up to hitter when to advance to the next pitch...make sense?

I completely agree - the hitter should dictate the pace of an at-bat.

I let the batter control the tempo.
